A painted kitchen, built the English way.
Inset doors and drawers set into a painted maple frame, with a tight, even reveal all the way round. Shaker fronts, sprayed in the color you choose. Open a door and it’s red oak inside. From $2,400 per linear foot.
The details
Wood counters and a farmhouse sink, marble and brass, or stained rather than painted. The Cottage Kitchen takes whatever finish the house asks for.

How it’s made
Doors sit flush inside a solid maple frame, not over it. It’s more fitting, and it’s the whole reason the kitchen looks the way it does. Shaker fronts in paint-grade maple, sprayed in our shop with a catalyzed finish, in any color you like.
Inset face frame
¾" red oak plywood cabinets, left natural inside so every cupboard opens onto wood. Dovetailed solid red oak drawer boxes on soft-close undermount slides — most kitchen companies, even the expensive ones, use maple plywood here.
Red oak boxes, solid oak drawers
Every Cottage Kitchen comes with a site measure and full design package, inset doors and drawer fronts, a sprayed finish in your color, red oak boxes and solid oak drawers, soft-close hinges and slides, and fillers and end panels scribed to your walls. Options: custom hand-made pulls, exposed brass butt hinges, plate racks, open shelving and glazed uppers, pantry and larder cabinets, and matching built-ins for the rest of the house. From $2,400 per linear foot; delivery and installation quoted per job; countertops, appliances and custom pulls extra.
